Project Devilery
A UK cable TV company
planned to launch High Definition TV in time for the Football World
Cup 2006 and required project management expertise to deliver the
core infrastructure. The core infrastructure uses high speed fibre
optics to transport the High Definition content from the BBC and ITV
into the Cable TV playout sites. Blue Moth provided the expertise
and delivered systems on time and within budget for the start of the
World Cup.
Company Acquisition and Integration
An Internet Services
provider required help with the integration of new companies into
the main organisation following their acquisition. They had acquired
and integrated companies previously but recognised that the integration
had taken longer than planned and had not brought the business benefits.
By developing a full integration plan and managing the integration
process with the client we were able to make significant improvements
compared to previous acquisitions.
Product Development
A multi million £
UK entertainment company required help in defining a new product and
researching software experts who could develop this product. A scoping
document and plan was submitted to the client which described what
activities would be undertaken and when. This was agreed with the
customer and put into action. Staging points were introduced so the
next steps could be agreed before they were undertaken.
Bid Support
An Internet Services
Provider required analysis and critique of their bids into the corporate
and government sector as a means to improving their success rate.
Detailed analysis was undertaken and a comprehensive report with recommendations
was submitted. Follow up work was undertaken to develop the clients
sales collateral and documentation to aid future bids.
Management Accounts and Business Planning
A water treatment company
required analysis of their management accounts to gain an external
view on where the business was and where it should go. Advise and
analysis was provided in understanding the profitability of the market
sectors they operated in and practical ideas on different ways they
could analyse their business. Key analysis was by product profitability
looking across the complete cost base of the company. In essence which
activities make the most money.
